Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Singapore
The Ritz-Carlton Millenia in Singapore features a 5 million dollar, 5,400-piece art collection, most of which was specially commissioned by California-based art consultant, Elizabeth Weiner.
Frank Stella's eye-catching lobby dragon and a stunning wall sculpture by the renowned glass artist, Dale Chihuly, set the tone for vibrant works by David Hockney, Andy Warhol, Sam Francis and Henry Moore along with contributions from contemporary American artists.
Designed by Pritzker prize-winning architect Kevin Roche, all 610 guestrooms feature unobstructed views of the Singapore skyline or Marina Bay. The hotel's standard guestrooms are 550-650 square feet (51-60 square metres) - about 25 percent larger than those in other luxury Singapore hotels. The bathrooms are positioned on the outside wall, providing panoramic views from large octagonal windows. Modern style decor is softened by the use of light timber finishes and Tibetan-style woven floor covering.
All guestrooms and suites feature beds for spectacular views, large marble bathrooms with octagonal shaped windows featuring panoramic views of the city or the sea.
The 32-storey hotel is a seven acre garden oasis, strategically located in the heart of Marina Centre offering a mix of commercial, retail, entertainment and recreational facilities.
