Merrion Hotel, Dublin

The hotel has one of the largest collections of private art in Ireland on display -- 150 pieces in total.

The Merrion in Dublin, houses an extensive collection of mainly 19th and 20th century Irish art (detailed in a catalogue in each guest-room).  According to Lochlann Quinn, the Chairman and part owner of the hotel, "The art has had a big impact since we opened six years ago and makes the hotel  feel more like a private home. Some domestic groups - art societies, for example - come here specially for it."
