The art originated in the Republic of China and the People's Republic of China, Japan, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, Burma, Bali and Cambodia, as well as in England, France and Italy. A number of contemporary Hawaiian artists are also represented, most of them following traditional island themes.
